New trends in economic development require the construction of an updated system of cooperation between education and business, focused on attracting a strong practical component (applied part) in the educational process, without which training highly qualified and competitive professionals in economics and business is impossible. Educational and professional programs in the specialty 051 Economics at Uman National University of Horticulture, taking into account the requirements of the time, have a practical orientation and are implemented in close cooperation with reputable domestic and foreign scientific institutions and leading business structures, whose specialists are involved in the educational process.
Such a business partner of educational programs is the leading company Corteva Agriscience ™, which in cooperation with the Global Giving Foundation provided a grant to Uman National University of Horticulture to support and develop educational and professional programs in specialty 051 Economics.
The grant program promotes agriculture as an innovative and high-tech industry and will help motivate higher education students to build a career in this field. An important component of this project is the organization of a series of business lectures by experts from companies (including Corteva Agriscience ™) on the exchange of practical messages in the field of business creation and conduct. In addition, the grant funds will be used to purchase computer equipment and modern software necessary for future economists to improve their digitalization skills.
